Rock rose (Pavonia lasiopetala)
A Texas native woody perennial with medium green, hibiscus-shaped leaves, rock rose is covered with 1" clear pink single flowers from May through October. Butterflies and bees love it. Looks great with skullcap, blackfoot daisy and roses; needs very little water. Cut back the woody stems after the foliage freezes; it will come back stronger every year and does tend to seed about.
