Angelica (Angelica pachycarpa)
Dark glossy divided foliage pops out of the ground in April, shoots up to 8 feet tall, blooms and disappears until next year. Butterflies love the fragrant greenish-white flowers and the cut stems smell like licorice. This plant is dramatic. (Photo: Southern Harvest)
